9/4/08 Amendments of Michigan Court Rules MCR 3.204 (Proceedings Affecting Minors) and MCR 3.212 (Postjudgment Transfer of Domestic Relations Cases) effective September 1, 2008.  
  Reminder: SCAO needs the name and contact information for each county's Title IV-E contact person.  
  The National Center for State Courts' September 2, 2008, Federal Funding Opportunities is now available.  
8/28/08 CHANGE to the Michigan Judicial Institute training opportunity for “Optimizing Your Customer Service Skills Through Cultural Sensitivity and Diversity Awareness.”  The October 30, 2008, session has been rescheduled for October 1, 2008, and has been relocated to the Hall of Justice in Lansing.  Seats are available at the Lansing session.  
8/21/08 Teams may now apply for the Adult Drug Court Planning Initiative (DCPI) Trainings for 2009. The closing date for this application is September 29, 2008. 9/29/08
  The Michigan Judicial Institute is pleased to announce the publication of the newly revised Model Code of Conduct for Michigan Court Employees.  
  SCAO will soon be mailing copies of the 2008 Michigan Child Support Formula Manual to circuit court judges, family division judges, friend of the court offices, and friend of the court referees.  
  The National Center for State Courts' August 18, 2008, Federal Funding Opportunities is now available.

8/7/08 Effective immediately, 2008 Public Act 260 allows the Department of Human Services to establish a subsidized guardianship program for child abuse/neglect wards. NOTE: The court cannot order a subsidized guardianship.
