The Role of the Friend of the Court
Making a Written Complaint

If you believe that the other parent did not follow the parenting time order, and you cannot work it out on your own, then you can complain in writing to the friend of the court.

The complaint must be submitted within 56 days of the alleged violation. The friend of the court can help you fill out the complaint if you need assistance.

Whether or not you make a written complaint, you can ask the friend of the court to mediate the dispute.
