This chapter discusses the recordkeeping requirements for the Family Division in child protective proceedings. Specifically, this chapter discusses the court’s recordkeeping obligations, confidentiality of and access to records, and retention and destruction of records and files.1 For information concerning records used in suspected abuse or neglect investigations, see Chapter 2.
